Latest Update - July 2010

This winter has already been a busy season of sailing with "ManaKai" being used for all our Introductory, Competent Crew and Inshore Skipper courses. She is well suited to beginner sailors and those wishing to improve their sailing skills.

After a great adventure delivering her from Launceston to Yeppoon "Spirit Silver Edition" the Murray Burns and Dovell designed 42ft Deck Saloon is now undergoing some upgrades and an interior transformation  to suit sailing in the tropical waters.

She is fast, sleek and strong with a great layout for sail training for those looking for some coastal passage making experience.

This fabulous vessel under the experience hand of Ken Gourlay has already completed a solo nonstop circumnavigation. Click here for details.

The delivery trip from Launceston has included stops at Deal Island - a beautiful spot in Bass Strait, Eden - for a crew change and shelter from a storm, Sydney (see pic) - with a glorious sail into the harbour and a crew change, Newcastle - for a weather break and Coffs Harbour - for a crew change before struggling against the East Australian Current up to Mooloolaba. The last leg from Mooloolaba was around the outside of Fraser Island, straight through to Cape Capricorn and then across Keppel Bay to Yeppoon.
